Harbor community resumes protests for the removal of the board of directors and executive management of CN “Administratia Porturilor Maritime” S.A. Constanta

Constanta, 21 April 2015

Having in view the lack of answer from both the National Company and the Ministry of Transports to all the problems of the harbor community, brought to their knowledge on numerous occasions, both through a series of information notes, memoranda, letters and in the course of the meetings held as well at the premises of the Ministry, the two organizations representative at the level of the sectors of activity, “Water transport and service activities incidental to water transportation. Air transport and service activities incidental to air transportation” resumed on 20 April their protests against the administrative and executive management of “Administrația Porturilor Maritime” S.A. Constanta National Company.

The two Organizations further believe that the first step in establishing a dialogue path for the subsequent resolution all the problems regarding the execution of sub-concession agreements, maritime transport infrastructure lease agreements, regarding the tariff policy, transparency in the exploitation of the port domain and the Master Plan of the Port of Constanta consists in full structural changes of the management of CN APMC.

Thus, both the Port Operator and the National Federation of Trade Unions requests the speeding up of the actions initiated by the Ministry of Transports with a view to regulating the problems in respect of the port platform, since no actual results have been seen so far in that regard.

The Harbor Community believes that all the irregularities notified so far indicate serious deficiencies in the management of the Port of Constanta, the infringement of the legal provisions, and a total lack of interest on the part of the management of CN APMC SA as regards the development of the Port of Constanta.

As a consequence, these are concrete reasons for the revocation and removal of the Board of Directors and executive management of the Board of Directors and the executive management of the company, the Port Operator and the National Federation of Port Trade Unions following to further make any approaches necessary in order to get back to normality.
