Socep – one of the most important port operators in Constantza Port – is defined by two distinct terminals and  offers a full range of services and operations for containers, bulk and general cargo.

Socep has qualified and trained employees in loading/ unloading and storage a variety of cargo, including: containers, special projects, oversized and heavy-duty cargo, fertilizers, metallurgical products, grains, timber products.

• Container Terminal

Terminal facilities:

• 500 000 TEU’ s annual handling capacity;
• 2 berths: 51 and 52;
• Length of berths: 470 m;
• Berth depth: 13,5 m;
• Storage area: 150.000 sqm;
• Reefer plugs: 250;
• A dedicated weighing machine;
• Very good position, nestled close to all port amenities;
• Very good connection to the highway and railway transport network;
• Rail access: 5 rails

The terminal has specialized equipment and machinery, as follows:

• STS Paceco (1): Post Panamax Crane: Lift capacity: 50 mt;
• STS ZPMC(1): Panamax Crane: Lift capacity: 40,6 mt;
• STS Takraf (1): Panamax Cranes: Lift capacity: 40,7 mt;
• Transtainers: 2;
• Reach Stackers: 9;
• RTG’s: 2;
• Empty Handlers: 1;
• Forklifts: 4;
• Ship to shore cranes: 3;

• General Cargo Terminal

Terminal facilities:

• 5 millions tone of bulk and general cargo annual handling capacity;
• 8 berths: 8, 22, 35, 36, 37, 41, 42, 43;
• Length of berths: between 90 m and 208 m each;
• Berth depth: between 7,0 m and 13,5 m;
• Grain Silo Terminal: 6 bottom bins with 50,000 mt storage capacity.
• Warehouse area: 70000 sqm storage capacity inside in 9 warehouses.
• Open storage area (platforms): 126 000 sqm;
• Very good position, nestled close to all port amenities;
• Very good connection to the highway and railway transport network;
• Rail access: 7 railways

The terminal has specialized equipment and machinery, as follows:

• Shore crane: 11 (lift capacity between 20 mt and 84 mt);
• Front Loaders: 11;
• Conveyor belts system for dry bulk;
• Unloading installation for dry bulk wagons;
• Wagons weighing machine;
• Trucks weighing machine;
• Railway receiving hopper: 1 with 400 mt/ hours unloading capacity rate;
• Truck receiving hopper: 2 with 400 mt/ hours unloading capacity rate;
• Shiploader: 3 with productivity between 400 mt/hours and 800 mt/hours;
• Sampling laboratory equipped with two automatic linear grain sampling probe;
